Hi, I’m Queen Rania Al-Yassin. I was born in Kuwait on August 31, 1970. For college, I attended the New English School in Jabrya, Kuwait. I then transferred and received a degree in business administration from the American University in Cairo. During my years in college, I worked at Citibank and Apple Inc. In 2011, I was ranked as the most beautiful first lady in the world. I extend my gratitude to Harpers and Queen Magazine for giving me that ranking. I am a proud mother and a devoted wife. I am married to Abdullah II of Jordan. My four children are Prince Hussein, Princess Iman, Princess Salma, and Prince Hashem. I love them all to pieces. Since I’ve been married, I have used my connections in order to advocate for a better society within Jordan, and hopefully beyond. In 2005, I launched the annual teacher’s award called the Queen Rania Award for Excellence in Education. Iowe all my thanks to the Ministry of Education for partnering with me in order to make that possible. In addition, I am chairperson of Jordan’s first children’s interactive museum. I believe that youth need education to succeed. For that reason, I opened the Queen Rania Scholarship program. It is available around the world. Well...I suppose I should wrap up my bio. I usually don’t like to write autobiographies because it’s just me talking about myself, and I like to come off as humble. Nonetheless, I enjoyed telling you about myself. Please don’t hesitate to learn something today. Strive to be wiser than you were yesterday.
